BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Officials At United Nations Geneva To Defend Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign!

Philippine high-ranking officials is in Geneva, Switzerland United Nations today, May 5 to defend the country's Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign.
The delegation consisted of representatives from the Presidential Human Rights Committee, House of Representatives, foreign affairs, health, justice, labor, social welfare and interior departments headed by Malacañang deputy executive secretary Menardo Guevarra.

Among the participants Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano said, “Our strategy is simple: The facts being said about the campaign against drugs are wrong.”

According to Cayetano, chair of the Senate foreign relations committee, the period under review covers five years of the Aquino administration and the first 10 months of the Duterte administration.

“Human rights issues were raised by various sectors not just in this administration,” Cayetano said.

Sen. Cayetano stated that this review would be an opportunity for the administration to dispel the international community’s serious concerns over alleged human rights violations in Mr. Duterte’s war on drugs and other challenges to Philippine law enforcement and the judicial system.
