When you're a parent, you would do everything you can just to meet your children's needs. So it doesn't really come as a surprise when this young father sold his beloved motorbike just so he could afford to pay his daughter's hospital bills.
Facebook user Michael Andrew Mariano received praises from netizens when he posted that he was willing to sell his motorbike for PHP 20,000 in order to pay for his daughter's hospitalization bills.
He captioned the photo album with "FOR SALE z200r P20,000 Presyong barat na yan kailangan lang."
According to him, the motorbike only needed a seal on the side of its engine and a minor repaint job but otherwise, it's in good condition.
According to his Facebook post, Mariano's daughter, Candice, was diagnosed with pneumonia. Motorbike enthusiasts were quick to comment on his post, saying that they would love to buy his pre-loved bike. Some even offered to pay PHP 22,000 for it.
On January 26, Mariano posted a picture of his daughter and captioned it by saying "anak ginagawa mong hobby pag labas pasok ng hospital ah ano trip mo la naman tayo pera" with a crying emoji. He continued, "get well soon paki sama naman sya s mga prayers nyo thank you"
He stated in the comments section that his daughter initially had asthma, but it got worse and eventually turned into pneumonia. Back in January 21, Mariano posted a picture of his daughter, saying that she's been sick for almost a month already.
Many people were interested in buying Mariano's motorbike and some even pointed out, "Ang mura naman bilhin niyo na." They also tagged their friends who are fellow motorbike enthusiasts.
Mariano updated netizens on February 3 when he posted a picture of his daughter who was smiling.
According to him, Candice is now well and that they were already on their way home. He captioned it, "pauwi na po kami bukas salamat po sa lahat ng nag help saamin"
