A major rehabilitation center in the country is currently under construction in Nueva Ecija to cater to drug addicts seeking to improve their life after drugs.
In Pia Bolanos' report for CNN Philippines, the facility is 30 percent finished and will have a dry run where 2,500 patients will benefit from its opening.
According to Health secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, the center would greatly help facilities that are already congested with patients.
"Most of our treatment and rehab centers are at their 200% capacity so the intention for those who are willing is to have them consent to the new facilty," she said.
The facility is in Fort Magsaysay Nueva Ecija, the biggest military land facility in the country, where 10 hectares is donated for the completion of the rehabilitation facility.
It is expected to help more than 600,000 drug addicts in the country.
