UN Has No Right To Investigate Human Rights Violation In The Philippines Says Sen. Tito Sotto
Majority Floor Leader, Senator Tito Sotto denounced United Nations (UN) saying that they don’t have the right to investigate human rights violation for they are violators as well.
According to the Human Rights Watch (HRW), the UN should be responsible for investigating the case of President Rodrigo Duterte's involvement in the extrajudicial killings in Davao City.
HRW’s appeal is due to the disclosing of the Davao Death Squad at the Senate by Edgar Matobato.
According to a report, Sen. Sotto asserted that the UN is the number one violator of human rights. He said that an organization that pushes for abortion is the number one human violator in his opinion.
He also added that before UN accuses the Philippines, they should first know look at themselves.
