Senator Antonio Trillanes has issued a formal apology to Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for his “uncalled for” act during the Senate probe into extrajudicial killings on Thursday, September 15.
“This is to express my apologies for my demeanor during last Thursday’s hearing of the Committee on Justice and Human Rights,” Trillanes said.

It had been known to everyone that Trillanes turned off Cayetano's microphone while also threatening the later saying "Hindi kita papopormahin dito".

In a 1-page letter addressed to Cayetano, Trillanes said his act was caused by the heat of the moment.
