Six Killed In A Raid Conducted In Three Houses Owned By Albuera Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr.
Six men dead when authorities led an assault on three houses of Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. and his son Kerwin early Wednesday.
Two of the casualties where on the Mayor's home; two in the place of Kerwin who is purportedly a drug lord; and the other two in the primary place of the Mayor.
The assault was led on the said houses in Sitio Tinago in Brgy. Benolho at 5:30 a.m. by joined strengths of the Leyte Provincial Police Office, Regional Public Safety Battalion, and Albuera Philippine National Police.
It was accounted for that Mayor Espinosa and his child Kerwin were connected to drug trafficking and coddling.
The senior Espinosa surrendered to police on Tuesday after President Rodrigo Duterte said on Monday he will give a "shoot on sight order" if the Mayor and his son don't intentionally surrender within 24 hours.
It was reported that P1.9 million worth of 237 grams of suspected shabu were recuperated by authorities in a buy bust operation last Thursday close to the places of the Espinosas.
