SWS: Aquino's Rating Is Best Even Among Presidents Before Him? What Do You Think?

A survey made by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) shows President Benigno Aquino III ended his term with a net satisfaction rating at 50% only compared to when he sat into office, but it was still the best among Presidents before him.

According to the survey conducted from June 24 to 27, Aquino got a net satisfaction rating of a “moderate” +29 (57% satisfied, 28% dissatisfied), two percentage points higher than the “moderate” +27 he received in April.
Net satisfaction rating is taken from the percentage of satisfied minus the dissatisfied.

Aquino got a “very good” +60 when in September 2010 after taking oath in June of the same year. He received his best net satisfaction rating, a “very good” +67, in August 2012, while his worst score was recorded in March 2015, at the height of the Mamasapano operation controversy that killed 44 elite policemen.

Aquino’s final satisfaction rating was the highest among recent Philippine presidents, namely Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (“poor” -17), Joseph Estrada (“neutral” +9), Fidel Ramos (“moderate” +19), and his late mother Corazon Aquino (“neutral” +17).

Conducted among 1,200 adults, the survey has a margin of error of +/- 3 points for national percentages, and +/-6 points each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Did the survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) actually reflect what the Filipino people think? What do you think?

  1. Jul 10 16 – There are many flaws in Pnoy’s behavior (despite of having several worthy girlfriends, the relationships always ended in break-up and he remains single up to now when he is already 56 years old) and he had many careless decisions like hastily entering Muslim peace accord with one group of Muslim rebels with no legislative consultation, the Mamasapano tragedy, vetoing the P2000 raise of SSS pensioners while SSS officials and staff are getting unreasonably high bonuses and perks, being more concerned with savings while many projects and programs remained unfinished or unattended and dilly-dallying in anointing Mar Roxas as the administration Presidential candidate (the loss of Mar is attributed more to Pnoy’s confusing decisions). Surely he lags behind the quality performance of FVR and GMA but he did better than them in cleansing the government of corruption.
