The Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies are quite relentless in their campaign in stopping illegal drugs, corruption and crime.
Anti-illegal drugs operations has taken the limelight now in the first two weeks of President Rodrigo Duterte's administration. With the mass surrenders of drug pushers and users throughout the country.
In Cavite, PNP chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency chief Isidro Lapeña spearheaded the destruction of over P1.7 billion in illegal drugs.
It was said that this is only the first batch to be destroyed under the new administration, shabu amounting more than P1 billion that seize by the PNP last week.
With just two few weeks since Duterte assume his position, already thousands has surrendered before authorities while some that resisted arrest had been killed.
The so-called bigwigs in the illegal drug trade are also currently being pursued. Duterte has already named 5 police generals with allege connection to the illegal drug industry and is also getting ready to expose more which includes mayors with the same illicit dealings.
