Martin Andanar said in a phone interview with GMA News that only up to 540 guests have been invited to Duterte’s inauguration on June 30 at the Palace.
Duterte will escort outgoing President Benigno Aquino III to the Malacañang grounds for his departure then will go back inside for an official family photo.
"Hindi pa ito final. Pero kung ako ang tatanungin mo, sa limited space na ang kasya ay 500 to 540, mga bisita na ng Presidente iyan at hindi na kasya. So I was thinking, what if kung sabay sila ni Vice President, paano pa magkasya?" Andanar said in a report by Steve Dailisan on GMA News TV's State of the Nation with Jessica Soho.
In accordance with Duterte’s style, this will only be a simple inagauration. Duterte’s favorite maruya cooked Davao-style and Juice will be served.
Duterte has also asked for the public to just monitor the inauguration at their homes to avoid traffic build up around Palace, Andanar said.
